IDHA

A Name From the Earth
A name that reflects our belief that the most beautiful things begin with nature. Founded in 2019 with just three handlooms, Idha began with a quiet intention: to create clothing that is gentle on the skin, mindful of the earth, and meaningful in the way it is made.

A Palette Drawn From Nature
Our journey began with handloom cottons and natural dyes, creating fabrics, sarees and dress materials coloured by nature itself. Pomegranate peels, marigold flowers, indigo leaves, myrobalan and onion skins became part of our palette — transforming traditional textiles into pieces of understated, enduring beauty. What began with three looms soon became a deeper exploration of what clothing can be when it exists in harmony with nature.
A Philosophy of Conscious Creation
As a doctor, I have always been conscious of what we allow to come in contact with our skin. Natural, breathable fabrics felt instinctively right — particularly in India, where cotton and handloom have been woven into our lives for generations.
But Idha has always stood for something beyond fabric. It is a philosophy of conscious creation.
We choose natural fibres, traditional weaving techniques and natural dyeing processes wherever possible. The result is clothing that breathes, softens with time and carries the unmistakable touch of the hands that created it.
Every Idha piece is an expression of thoughtful luxury — one that respects its maker, its wearer and the world it comes from.
An Inheritance We Leave Behind
We believe the choices we make today become part of the inheritance we leave behind. By consuming fewer resources, sustaining traditional craftsmanship and choosing materials that are kinder to both skin and earth, we hope to nurture a more considered relationship with what we wear.
